Where is the bird?  by Barry Harper

I saw a robin

Its breast as red as fire

In the blazing sky

I saw an eagle

With bright yellow talons

In the sunny hue

I saw a song thrush

Singing tunefully on wing

In melodic skies

I saw a white crane

Lifting shells from the river

In amongst the plant

I saw a penguin

Looking good enough to eat

In its bright wrapping
